At Mellow Oaks Academy, creativity is buzzing — quite literally! Our Grade 3 learners recently unveiled their imaginative 3D art, where the theme was insects and creepy crawlies. Using only recycled materials, the young artists transformed everyday waste into extraordinary creatures that crawled, fluttered, and wriggled across the display.
From Trash to Treasure
Plastic bottles became beetle bodies, egg cartons turned into caterpillars, and tin foil was shaped into shimmering dragonfly wings. Each piece showcased how discarded items can be reimagined into something beautiful and meaningful. The learners proved that art doesn’t need expensive supplies — just vision, teamwork, and a commitment to sustainability.
Lessons in Sustainability
